Grenadier Company is looking for employees for the RPAS platoon

Grenadier Company is seeking driven and responsible employees for the RPAS platoon. The company has two main tasks; to train conscripts and to maintain the combat unit 4th Brigade Reconnaissance Company. The Brigade Reconnaissance Company is an independent combat unit equipped with Combat Vehicle 9040 that gathers intelligence for the 4th Brigade's needs.

The company is responsible for training conscripts to supply its own and other combat units. We conduct continuous training of conscripts while solving real tasks and place a strong emphasis on independence, mission tactics where trust and authority are distributed to leaders at all levels. The company also supports the Army Combat School in Kvarn. Primarily, the platoon conducts combat technical trials and tests with RPAS systems for the Army Combat School and Army units.

The position offers opportunities for personal development and advanced technical training, and we are looking for engaged employees who want to contribute to our operations and eventually develop within the role of UAV pilot/operator.

Main tasks:

  • Practice reconnaissance both from air and ground
  • Participate in readiness tasks
  • Be part of a test and trial platoon for an RPAS platoon at the battalion level.
  • Practice and develop within reconnaissance, surveillance, and support RPAS groups in these functions to eventually become a UAV pilot.
  • Dedicate time to physical training, conditioning, strength, and mobility to ensure high physical capability.

Qualifications:

  • Approved Conscription/Basic Military Training
  • Driving license B

Meritorious:

  • Service in a reconnaissance platoon/company, security unit, or equivalent.
  • Tracked vehicle driving license
  • Off-road vehicle driving license
  • RPAS operator training 05 and 06

Attributes:

  • Ability to work independently but also in a team.
  • Personal maturity and ability to take a lot of personal responsibility.
  • Good social competence and ability to work well in a group.
  • High engagement and willingness to develop in both technology and tactics.

Other:

Employment form: GSS/K, fixed-term employment up to 8+4 years. Depending on your current employment form, it may start with a six-month probationary period.

The Skaraborg Regiment, P 4 has operations from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The leadership is located in Skövde where most of the conscript training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company. P 4 is also responsible for a brigade staff that, in times of crisis and war, will lead large parts of the army's units.
